A generic approach for recognition and structural modelling of drawers’ sketching gestures

چکیده
This article handles the problem of the automatic analysis of online hand drawn geometric sketches. An online sketch can be analyzed according to several points of view. As for offline sketching, we can try to recognize the produced shape. However, online sketching allows other levels of analysis like the one of the drawer’s behavior during the production of sketches. We propose a method for drawer’s behavior extraction and modelling. Then we show how we can determine the favorite procedure of a drawer and how procedural noise can disturb the study of the procedural consistency of drawers’ behaviors.

Exploring Frame Gestures for Fluid Freehand Sketching
In this paper, we explore a minimalistic, gesture-based interface for fluid freehand concept sketching with vector graphics. Our approach leverages the advantages of both the GUI and gestural interface paradigms. We describe how to use frame gestures to control rotation, translation, and scale of the drawing canvas and of stroke selections. Based on an implementation of this concept we evaluate...
متن کاملHuman Computer Interaction Using Vision-Based Hand Gesture Recognition
With the rapid emergence of 3D applications and virtual environments in computer systems; the need for a new type of interaction device arises. This is because the traditional devices such as mouse, keyboard, and joystick become inefficient and cumbersome within these virtual environments. In other words, evolution of user interfaces shapes the change in the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). In...
متن کاملComputational exploration of task and attention modulation on holistic processing and left side bias effects in face recognition: the case of face drawing experts
Drawing artists and non-drawers are like any adult both experts at face recognition. Yet, artists have a richer learning experience with faces: they were trained in rapid sketching of faces. Zhou, Cheng, Zhang and Wong (2011) found that drawing experts showed less holistic processing (HP) for face recognition than non-drawers. Using a computational model of face recognition that did not impleme...

متن کاملDesign of sketch-based interface to enhance creativity in conceptual design
Sketching is a common method used in conceptual design. Its ambiguity inspires designers with new and unexpected alternatives for design ideas which enhance creativity in conceptual design. Sketchbased modeling appeared as an easy way for 3D sketching to open the way for digitizing sketching process. For that reason it focused on developing techniques and algorithms of converting 2D sketches in...
